How did this happen?
Well as near as I can figure it, the other day I was at the computer trying to get rid of a few nasty viruses, when I heard my wife say, "Ernest Borgnine just passed honey, it's on NBC." This distredded me in that I am a genuine fan, so naturally I went to the archives and dug up the now infamous photo of he and I and posted it to flickr.
Several of you have pointed out that you could not confirm my report, so I went to bing.com and found that I could not either. At first I thought "the internet must be broken!" But it turns out that the internet is fine, it's me who is broken!
I had a theory: I went back to my wife, showed her a picture of Carl Malden (who just passed, great guy!) she looked at it and said "poor Ernest."
DANG! DANG! DANG IT!
PLEASE BELIEVE ME! This was not a joke or stunt! It was an honest mistake, a terrible one, but an honest one! Again I apologise.
Even the world's greatest fake blogger is not always correct!
The Borgnine shot has gone back into my archives, hopefully not to be used again for a very long time.
